# Face AI Setup

The following steps outline how to activate Facial Recognition Attendance tracking for all employees and set up the Face AI program on your selected device.

# Face AI Activation

SweldoNow Face AI enables employees to clock-in/out using Facial Recognition Attendance Tracker. Each employee must upload 2 unique 2x2 photos.

To enable Facial Recognition:

  1. Login to SweldoNow (opens new window).
  2. Go to the left navigation menu and click on Settings.
  3. From the Settings page, click Face AI card.
  4. On Face AI Activation page, select and click employee from the list.
  5. On Face AI Activation Details page, click Add Photo button.
  6. On Upload Photo popup, drag and drop an image or browse your gallery.
  7. Photo Specifications.
  • File Type: JPG only
  • Dimensions: Around 2x2 inches and 1680x1680 pixels
  • File Size: Must be between 500KB to 600KB only
  1. Repeat steps 5 to 7 to add the second photo. Once the 2 photos have been uploaded, the status will change to Active.

# Self Service Face AI Activation

SweldoNow allows employees to activate their own Facial Recognition Attendance Tracking.

Steps for Self-Activation:

  1. Login to SweldoNow (opens new window).
  2. Go to the left navigation menu and click on My Attendance then click Face Recognition card.
  3. On Face Recognition Activation page, click Add Photo button.
  4. On Upload Photo popup, drag and drop an image or browse your gallery.
  5. Photo Specifications.
  • File Type: JPG only
  • Dimensions: Around 2x2 inches and 1680x1680 pixels
  • File Size: Must be between 500KB to 600KB only
  1. Repeat steps 3 to 6 to add the second photo. Once the 2 photos have been uploaded, the status will change to Active.

# Face AI Users

Face AI Users are users who are authorized to log in to the Face AI app and turn on Face Recognition attendance tracking on a mobile phone or tablet.

To add Face AI Users:

  1. Go to the left navigation menu and click on Settings.
  2. From the Settings page, click Face AI card.
  3. On Face AI Activation page, scroll down and look for Face AI Users section.
  4. Click Add User button, then on the Add Authorized Users popup, select employee then click Save button.

# Face AI Supported Devices

Face AI runs on standard mobile phones or tablets and is compatible with Android and iOS. Since Face AI operates via a browser, no additional program installation is required.

Recommended Device Specifications For Better Performance:

Hardware

  • Mid to high-range devices
  • Strong video capability
  • Ample memory for smooth operations

Browser:

  • Chrome for Android
  • Chrome or Safari for iOS

# How To Run Face AI

  1. On your mobile device or tablet, access Face AI Portal: Open https://faceai.sweldonow.ph (opens new window) in your mobile web browser.
  2. Use Chrome for Android or Chrome/Safari for IOS.
  3. Login to Face AI with your SweldoNow account. Note: Your SweldoNow account must be a Face AI User. See Face AI Users for details.
  4. Once logged-in, click the Start button. Your device's video function will activate, and the Face Recognition program will begin running.
  5. To avoid reopening the browser each time, add the Face AI portal to your device's home screen. See Mobile Device Installation for details.

# Ideal Placement of Face AI Device

Recommended Locations:

  • Office lobby counter table
  • Wall-mounted near your office lobby

Optimal Performance Tips:

  • Place the device in a well-lit area to ensure clear facial recognition.
  • Avoid direct sunlight or areas with significant glare.
  • Position the device at eye level for consistent accuracy.
  • Secure the device in a fixed position to prevent movement.

# Data Usage

Face AI supports both Wi-Fi and mobile data for operation. Ensure a stable internet connection for uninterrupted service.

# Battery Usage

Face AI uses the device’s video functionality, which may lead to increased battery consumption. It is recommended to keep the device plugged into a charger during use.

  • To conserve energy, Face AI enters sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity. To reactivate, swipe the screen and click the Start button.
  • For smoother operations, avoid setting a password on the device.
